Building Community Together

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an integral part of the ASD community, known for its ongoing dedication and positive impact in supporting the school throughout the years. The association looks forward to connecting with new members of the ASD community while continuing to strengthen relationships with long-standing families and staff.

The PTA’s mission is simple and focused: to support and strengthen the ASD community by reinforcing the parent-teacher-student partnership and enhancing the bond between home and school. It serves as a voice for every parent, faculty member, administrator, and student. Every individual in the ASD community is a valued member of the PTA, each playing an important role in its success.

The association encourages children to take pride in their identity, share their history with confidence, and celebrate their cultural roots.

It also provides a welcoming space for Arab mothers to connect, form lasting friendships, and become active members of the ASD community. By serving as role models, members demonstrate the beauty of blending Arabic traditions with diverse global cultures.

Through volunteer initiatives, the association enriches the ASD community by supporting educational and cultural events that highlight Qatari and Arab culture, fostering understanding, pride, and unity among students, parents, and staff.

Junior Senior Committee

Creating Lasting Memories

Established in 2015, the Junior Senior Committee is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for Juniors and Seniors at ASD. Its mission is to offset the cost of the annual Prom and to fully sponsor the 100 Day Celebration and December Surprise. The committee also supports seniors throughout the year with monthly surprises that celebrate their final high school moments.

To achieve these goals, the committee organizes popular fundraising events such as the Pumpkin Patch, Valentine’s Market, Root Beer Float, and Chili Fest, and participates in the PTA Friendship Festival. The committee’s success relies on the dedication of parent volunteers who bring spirit, teamwork, and creativity to every event. All Grade 11 (Junior) and Grade 12 (Senior) parents are encouraged to join the broadcast-only WhatsApp group to stay connected.
