ASD offers one of the most comprehensive athletics and activities programs among international schools in Qatar and the wider region. The ASD High School Co-curricular Program is intentionally designed to support ASD’s mission and vision. Our culture of educational athletics is recognized not only for competitive success, but also for developing student-athletes of strong character, integrity, and sportspersonship. In addition, our ASD offers year-round opportunities in academics, leadership, music, and service, encouraging students to explore their interests, develop skills, and grow into well-rounded individuals.
MESAC is arguably the premier International School athletic and activities conference in our region. Fundamentally, it is a varsity and junior varsity (JV) organization that offers participation in various sports and activities. Most of our varsity teams and JV teams compete in MESAC.
Typically, this is only for the season-concluding championship or event. In some sports, we have a mid-season invitational against our conference rivals and other invited schools. A MESAC season lasts for 8-10 weeks.
