Joyful Music Learning
At ASD, the ES Music program offers a joyful and engaging learning experience where students explore music through singing, movement, instruments, and creative expression. Grounded in the Orff Schulwerk approach, the program nurtures creativity, confidence, and whole-child development. Students build musical understanding through hands-on experiences that connect concepts to play and imagination. Across all grade levels, learners participate in meaningful music-making that deepens artistic appreciation and supports personal, social, and emotional growth.
Growing Musical Proficiency
ES Music develops strong musical skills through structured, progressive experiences from PK3 to Grade 5. Students build foundational literacy, ensemble skills, and instrumental technique while exploring diverse styles and musical traditions. With increasing independence, they refine performance abilities through games, movement, and focused practice. Concerts, informances, and major productions—such as the Grade 5 Musical and Step-Up Graduation—provide authentic opportunities for students to showcase their musicianship, confidence, and artistic growth.
