Capturing Moments, Creating Memories
Students capture the events, people, and spirit of the school year through a hands-on, project-based course. Working collaboratively as a production team, they take on real-world roles as editors, designers, photographers, writers, and marketers. Using professional tools and design platforms, students develop skills in visual design, photography, journalism, and layout while meeting deadlines and transforming shared moments into lasting memories for the ASD community from start to finish of the annual yearbook experience together.
Documenting Our School Journey
From start to finish, students design, create, and produce the school’s annual yearbook as a lasting record of the ASD community. They plan content, conduct interviews, write captions and copy, and refine layouts through critique and revision. Emphasis is placed on creativity, organization, teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving as students collaborate, meet deadlines, and publish a professional yearbook using digital publishing skills and platforms developed throughout the course at the American School of Doha.
