Exploring Theatre, Building Skills
ASD High School Drama invites students to explore all aspects of theatre while developing essential artistic and life skills. The program covers acting, directing, scriptwriting, and technical theatre, providing opportunities to experiment with diverse genres such as puppetry, mask work, and original devised performances. Through classes, workshops, and school productions, students strengthen creativity, confidence, and collaboration, while learning to communicate effectively, take creative risks, and appreciate theatre as a powerful form of personal expression and cultural connection.
From Classroom To Stage
Our program bridges classroom learning with real-world performance experiences. Students refine their craft through acting, technical theatre, and creative projects while participating in school productions and collaborative MESAC events. This combination develops artistic skills, teamwork, and confidence, enabling students to experiment with diverse theatrical styles and genres. By performing on stage and engaging with peers, learners gain a deeper understanding of theatre’s role in storytelling, cultural expression, and community connection.
