Creativity Through Dramatic Discovery
Middle School Drama at ASD empowers students to explore their imaginations through movement, voice, improvisation, and storytelling. Grounded in the National Core Arts Standards, the curriculum blends creating, performing, responding, and connecting to build confidence and communication skills. With a supportive, student-centered environment, learners take positive risks, collaborate with peers, and develop essential theatre foundations. These experiences cultivate empathy, resilience, and creativity—skills that enhance students’ growth across academic and social settings.
Shining Onstage Together
Our program offers students meaningful opportunities to showcase their talents in high-quality productions and performances. Through shows like Aladdin Jr., Shrek Jr., SpongeBob: Youth Edition, and We Will Rock You, students gain hands-on experience both onstage and behind the scenes. These productions strengthen ensemble skills, deepen theatrical understanding, and foster a strong sense of community. By collaborating creatively, students grow as performers, teammates, and confident contributors to the arts.
